Listen to this playlist in the privacy of your plastic home, in the cold, dead arms of your plastic boyfriend.  Stroke your straw hair as you gaze into the productive innovation, lyrical stimulation, and star power of these tracks.  Rearrange your useless furniture, sit your ass down on your uncomfortable sofa.  Let the sound waves bounce off the shiny corners of your tiny mansion and trickle into the empty crevices of your ears.

Kwabs: Wrong or Right

kwabs

London based Kwabs is on fucking fire.  When he released the SOHN produced track Last Stand a few months ago it became strikingly evident that he is on the forefront of what’s hot in electronic soul/R&B.  With his new track Wrong or Right Kwabs is stepping up his game.  Catchy synths simmer over trilling high hats and glowing arpeggios while supporting incessantly catchy choruses, an amazing voice, and soulful lyricism.  This is money.

Last night the year turned bitter cold, no longer leaving space for the hope of a warm day for months to come.  Either find solace in these nine tracks, or use them to enhance the brisk air and meditate on your brooding winter mood.

Brooklyn’s Tei Shi made a lot of bloggers finger themselves for a minute, and here’s another track she released a while ago that I find a bit more relatable and much more replayable.  Also included is  a new song from Blood Orange, in anticipation of the upcoming full-length.  The remainder is a veritable who’s who of new releases on blogs around the web this last week.  AKA maybe your new favorite artist lurks about (get excited about Kwabs and Sasha Keable, fo realz).
